This Isn’t Your Mother’s Rusty Vintage Bicycle

I’ll never forget the story my mother told me about an incident that happened to her when she was 10 years old. She was riding down the street with a rusty, vintage bicycle that her aunt gave to her.

With a smile wider than the street it was the happiest day of her childhood, because she finally had a bicycle of her own. Just as the day couldn’t get any better, disaster struck.

As she was going down a curb this rusty, old vintage bicycle decided to tap out. With a hard crash to the pavement, my mom was sitting there with what was left of this old relic. All that was left was the handlebars, which was still in her small, confused hands.

This was very traumatic to her, as it would be for any small child. Since this crashorrific day occurred, my mom has never swung her leg over a bicycle again.

I find this very unfortunate, because there’s a huge lesson to be learned here.

Life Is Very Similar To This Old Rusty Vintage Bicycle

Just Like this old rusty vintage bicycle, life can be tough. Life is going to smack you around. Drag you through the mud. Give you a big kick in the @$$. And dump you onto the pavement, after you’ve worked so hard to achieve your goals.

Life can be brutal, but it doesn’t have to always be this way. In life there’s always going to be winners and losers, but it has nothing to do with luck. Or being smarter than everyone else. The true winners in life are the ones who are willing to take their bumps and bruises. They are willing to work the long hours and sacrifice everything to make their dreams a reality.

Sometimes you have to be dumped on your @$$ multiple times before you succeed. But each time you get up you’ll be stronger than before.

Don’t Let Life Stop You From Getting Started!

There is no roadmap to success in life. In order to make your dreams a reality, you have to just get started.

At one time I was afraid to quit my job working for Corporate America, but now I’m so glad that I did.

As I was working for Corporate America I was preparing myself by learning the necessary skills and meeting the right people. I knew that one day I’d be able to finally leave the rat race. And I did!

Instead of dreaming about starting my blog and building it into a brand, I just got started. At first I was worried that it wouldn’t be good enough. Or able to provide me with the lifestyle that I was hoping for. But everything has started to work out as planned.

I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to work with some amazing companies, and make some great friends along the way.

These innovative and environmentally conscious companies have allowed me to make the world aware of their existence.

Something I’m very proud of! To learn more about these incredible companies, click the links below. You won’t regret it.

Here’s the Way Life Really Works!

Nothing in life is going to be perfect, or work out as originally planned but that’s okay.

We only have a limited time on this planet. Would you rather work for someone else to help them achieve their dreams. Or would you rather accomplish goals that you always dreamed about but was too afraid to go for?

If you’re still not convinced that you’re capable of fulfilling your dreams, I’ve left the best for last.

Here’s a few links to entrepreneurs who scratched and clawed their way to success.

Just like me, these entrepreneurs had very little while growing up. I’ve talked about my childhood in my post, ”Brompton Electric Folding Bike Saves Commuters.” If I can do it, believe me, so can you.
