A few days ago my Dad (A.K.A Big Unc) and myself, decided to visit Downtown Rochester, New York before the Memorial Day holiday snuck up on us. It was a Friday afternoon. The sun was out. It was a tad above 72 degrees, and there was no rain. As far as I’m concerned, it was a perfect day. Not too hot or cold. The plan was to take the RTS bus to the Transit Center, and then proceed to Park Ave. Once we arrived downtown we needed a faster mode of transportation than walking, because we didn’t want to wait for a second bus. What was required was something that was light, portable, and efficient enough for our need. Fortunately, such a thing exists known as the Xootr Scooter.

The Xootr Scooter is a fantastic scooter for adults because it has the fastest rolling wheels of any small wheeled transportation device. Plus, it has a super wide deck made out of military grade Magnesium that allows you to put both feet on it at the same time.

At only 10 pounds this adult scooter is excellent to carry. Add a shoulder strap like I did, and you can carry this thing around for days with no problem.

To start this amazing journey, I grabbed my Xootr Scooter and walked to the bus stop, located about 5 minutes away.

Getting the Xootr Scooter on the bus was very simple and easy. The Xootr folds up nice and flat allowing me to sit at seats that don’t have much room. I’ve tried different types of transportation devices such as folding bikes and the Xootr is still the best when it comes to multimodal commuting. @xootrs

After a short 15 minute ride, I arrived at the Transit center and had to wait for Dad to arrive. Unfortunately, there were no benches available to sit at, because the place was packed. But that was okay.

All I had to do was swing the Xootr Scooter onto my shoulder and let the handy carry strap do the rest. The Xootr was easy to navigate the Transit Center with, and we were able to find a place to stand until Dad arrived. @xootrs

During the 30 minutes I had to wait, people were walking by staring at my Xootr Scooter, with one guy even complimenting on how nice it looked. HOW COOL WAS THAT?!

Once Dad arrived, we walked out of the Transit Center, unfolded the Xootr Scooters within seconds, and started our adventure towards Park Avenue.

The first stop we made was at Parkleigh on Park Avenue. This unique store is where I found my Beavis and Butthead wallet from Dynomighty Wallet. Finding a place to put our Xootr Scooters was no problem due to their amazing, compact size. @parkleighrochester @xootrs @dynomightydesign

While we were there we couldn’t help but try a free sample of their amazing coffee. @parkleighrochester

Our next stop was Magnolia’s Deli & Cafe for a cup of coffee instead of just a sample. Of course we had to have a second cup before we left.

Dad liked my idea so much that he placed his Xootr Scooter on the chair next to him also. @xootrs

On the way back to the Transit Center, both Xootr Scooters handled very well despite rough roads loaded with potholes.

We even ran in to an old friend of mine named Mike, who owns many bikes, and thought the Xootr Scooters were very cool.

Dad’s bus left the Transit Center before mine but that was okay. During the 30 minute wait I was able to find a bench to sit at with the Xootr Scooter close to my side. @xootrs
