Specialized Cycling Gloves

Specialized Cycling Gloves are one of my favorite accessories. Whenever I go cycling must have them or my hands feel naked. Plus they give the much-needed comfort I need regardless of the distance I’m commuting. I bought these Specialized Cycling Gloves last summer when my other pair wore out. And out of all the gear that I own, these get used the most along with my bicycle helmet.

Before I got into wearing cycling gloves my palms would get sore. The reason for this is because I like to lean forward while riding. This helps provide better pedaling efficiency and less wind resistance. While I’m still not leaning over as much as a road cyclist, it’s still enough to cause discomfort.

Specialized Cycling Gloves Have Important Features

After owning a few different pairs and using them extensively, I discovered that the name brand isn’t important. What’s important is how the gloves are designed and how they fit. Cycling gloves come in many different styles and made for different purposes. Some are made for summer, while others are better suited for winter. They also come with Velcro straps or just slide on, like the Specialized Cycling Gloves I now own.

Features you need to look for are durable stitching and padding. My Specialized Cycling Gloves have double stitching, made to last a long time, despite being very light weight. They also have a padded Palm area to keep your hands pain-free during your commutes. And because they’re made of Lycra, they don’t hold sweat and dry out very quickly.

Safety is another concern of mine. Riding in warm weather can cause slippage due to sweat. With the Specialized Cycling Gloves this problem is completely eliminated. The material allows me to get a good grip on the handlebars. And great leverage when squeezing the brakes. At all times I feel like I have precise steering and quick stopping during emergencies.

Whichever name brand cycling gloves you choose, keep the following tips in mind. Always pick a well-known name brand such as Bontrager or Specialized. Brands like this offer way better quality and comfort than most generic brands. Also make sure you pick the proper type of gloves suited for the weather you intend to ride in. And make sure they have padding, and other features built-in for maximum comfort and safety.
