Boulder Coffee Company Is A Retro, Fun Place

You’re Going To Love Boulder Coffee Company

Located next to Napa Wood Fired Pizza, is Boulder Coffee Company. From the outside it looks like any other ordinary coffee shop. But once we went inside, our whole perspective changed.

Here’s What Happened As We Arrived At Boulder Coffee Company

Louie, one of my best friends picked me up from a business meeting, and asked me for advice about where to get coffee.

Being a true coffee carnivore, just like me, he was looking for a place that had good coffee.

A friendly and inviting atmosphere.

And somewhere discreet, where we could enjoy hanging out for a few hours without any of our mutual friends finding us.

With my Tern Link D8 folded up in the trunk of Louie’s Buick, we were on our way to Boulder Coffee Company. Sorry Brompton, maybe next time.

I Suggested Trying Out Boulder Coffee Company

That’s when I suggested Boulder Coffee Company. When I was working for Corporate America, I drove past this coffee shop multiple times.

I knew nothing about the place, other than a car driving through the front of it not too long after it opened. And the wall was replaced with a nice glass one, allowing patrons to enjoy sunlight while savoring their coffee.

As far as I knew, the staff could be colder than iced coffee, along with the customer service.

The atmosphere could be snobby and uninviting.

And the coffee could be cold, stale or even burnt.

Our Experience At Boulder Coffee Company Was Going To Either Be Very Good Or Incredibly Bad

From judging the outside appearance, I was expecting a bland sitting area.

Elevator music that reminds you of a 1950’s coffee commercial.

And a bad taste in my mouth from horrible, cheap, commercial style coffee.

Just the thought of it made me cringe.

Boulder Coffee Company Surprised Us

As we entered Boulder Coffee Company, a friendly staff greeted us.

The staff was very patient and helpful while we were placing our orders.

And informed us that if we needed anything, don’t hesitate to let them know.

We also noticed that they had a great variety of food, such as sandwiches and soup, even though we didn’t get to try them.

Something to keep in mind the next time we go there.

Boulder Coffee Company made us feel very welcome, which felt very strange at first.

But that soon disappeared.

Boulder Coffee was eliminating what a lifetime of going to commercial coffee shops can do to you.

And that’s, suck all the coffee shop enthusiasm completely out of you.

Darn those commercial shops!

I’m A Huge Fan Of the Boulder Coffee Company Interior

Both of us were completely surprised as we walked into the main sitting area.

Unlike ordinary coffee shops, Boulder Coffee has a retro interior with plenty of chairs.

Old fashioned tables and stands.

With lots of funky photos and grungy art hanging from the walls.

Boulder Coffee Company’s interior didn’t just surprise me…

It hit me harder than cheap perfume. The atmosphere reminded me of a sitcom called “That 70’s Show”.

And I absolutely loved it!!!!!!

It had a grungy, rocker style paint scheme, with funky couches and chairs.

Boulder Coffee Company Is Like A Time Machine

My favorite section of the coffee shop was the stage area where they play music on certain nights.

This area was filled with tons of vintage televisions.

All I could think of during the time I was sitting there, was a time when Elvis was King.

I pictured an Elvis look-alike, dressed in polyester, jumping out from a dark corner and singing, “Don’t Step On My Blue Suede Shoes!”

And during this odd occurrence, disco lights dropping from the ceiling, with music playing from an ancient Grundig Majestic radio that sits in the corner.

His bushy hair with sideburns would be swaying from side to side, along with his butt, smooshed in his tight polyester pants.

Long live disco!

Only if you’re into that kind of thing.

Of course, the disco guy never magically appeared, thankfully.

And there were no flashing multicolored lights.

But we did enjoy some fresh coffee, and the best cheese cake that money can buy, from Cheesy Eddies.

Plus, an interesting atmosphere that brought us back to the days of black and white television.

Conclusion

Boulder Coffee was a great place to visit.

We truly enjoyed the retro interior, uniquely decorated stage, and sitting area.

The Staff was friendly, helpful, and had our orders placed quickly.

Because of this……

Boulder Coffee Company is a shop we’d definitely visit again, and highly recommend.

Plus, one last question.

Anybody down for watching The Brady Bunch?
